Streamlining Production Workflows & Batch Turnaround in GMP Plants
In contract manufacturing, operational velocity and product integrity must operate in absolute harmony. Maintaining a WHO-GMP compliant facility requires disciplined floor layout planning, validated clean-in-place (CIP) protocols, and zero cross-contamination between disparate formulation categories.
At Improva's plant in Pune, we engineered our floor plan with unidirectional material and personnel flows. Explore our complete machinery and processing infrastructure to understand how modern processing systems accelerate commercial delivery.
1. Unidirectional Material Flow & Segregated Suites
To eliminate cross-contamination between dairy-based whey proteins, plant-based vegan proteins, and potent Ayurvedic herbal extracts, our facility utilizes dedicated, segregated processing suites:
- Zoned Production Isolation: Processing lines are strictly segregated by product category, ensuring ambient powders or liquids never enter active encapsulation or packaging zones of other products.
- Low-Humidity Environmental Control: For effervescent products and hygroscopic botanical extracts, dedicated desiccant dehumidifiers maintain relative humidity below 20% RH.
- Sanitary Coved Epoxy Flooring: Seamless, chemical-resistant anti-static floors with coved wall joints prevent microbiological harborage.
2. Rapid Product Changeover via CIP/SIP Validation
The true test of a multi-product contract manufacturing facility is turnaround speed between distinct customer batches. Improva utilizes sanitary tri-clamp fittings and automated Clean-In-Place (CIP) spray balls throughout our SS 316L blending and liquid piping systems.
Every changeover includes swab testing and TOC (Total Organic Carbon) analytical clearance to guarantee zero allergen or active ingredient carryover into the subsequent production run.
